Arkansas’s first state park sits atop the legendary Petit Jean Mountain. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, many of the original historic structures still stand throughout the park, mirroring the mountain’s rugged beauty. The recently renovated Mather Lodge serves as the focal point for the park, with 24 luxurious rooms, delicious dining, and state-of-the-art meeting space. There are 33 fully-equipped cabins ranging from modern to rustic, many looking out over the dramatic bluffs of Cedar Creek Canyon. Cedar Creek Falls put on a show with water plummeting 95 feet to the delight of park visitors.
