Ouachita National Forest
Part of this scenic forest extends into Logan County, making it one of only two counties in the state to include two national forests. Several recreation areas offer camping and fishing.
Ozark National Forest
Covering more than one million acres, the southernmost portion runs along the Arkansas River Valley south to the Ouachita Mountains.
Ouachita National Recreation Trail
Almost 40 miles of this popular trail cut across Perry County and the Jessieville Ranger District.
Mountain Bicycle Trails
Located just off the Winona Scenic Drive, the Wildcat Mountain Bicycle Trail provides over 11 miles of off-road fun. Another nine mile adventure – the Buffalo Gap Mountain Bicycle Trail – is located west of scenic 7 Byway.
Bear Creek Horse Trail
Located on the east side of Scenic 7 Byway, this trail is a great trek for day or overnight riders. Mountain bikes also welcome.
Bridge Rock Trail
Winds along a rugged northwestern slope overlooking a portion of Shoal Creek known locally as the “Narrows”; offers three different trail routes of increasing length and difficulty.
Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail
34.3 miles for riding, hiking, ATV and mountain biking. Enjoy winding valleys and cross clear streams.
